Home Learning for Year 4

Please find below the Home Learning for your child for each day. We will hold a TEAMS meeting each morning at 9.40am-10.15am to greet the children, take the register, provide an English lesson and talk through the afternoon Topic activities. By the time the meeting has finished, the work for that day will be live on the website and on Purple Mash for your child to access.

Each day will contain an English, Maths and Topic lesson, as well as additional links to websites that your child can access.

The Maths lesson will be recorded as a video that has been delivered by a Year 4 teacher. This gives your child the opportunity to pause, replay and revisit different parts of the lesson as many times as they wish. The video will be stored on Teams, either in the Files section or on Stream. Occasionally we will be able to upload the video on to Purple Mash, however this depends on the capacity of the file. If you require further support with the Maths lesson, a Year 4 Teacher and Teaching Assistant is available from 8.30-4pm each day via email/phone. For more support, please email yr4@crownmeadow.worcs.sch.uk and a member of the Year 4 teaching team will contact you.

At 2.45pm each day, there will also be a short story-time session on TEAMS for your child to join in with. The chapter of the day will be read by the teacher who is working remotely that week.

THANK YOU

Dear Parents,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the tremendous amount of support you have given to both your child and the school during this current Home Schooling situation. We know it is not easy for anyone and to see the children on live lessons each day and to receive the wonderful pieces of home learning they are producing makes everything worthwhile.

If ever you require more support in any aspect of home schooling, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at: yr4@crownmeadow.worcs.sch.uk. A member of the Year 4 team will contact you at the earliest opportunity.

Please take care and stay safe.

Mrs Taylor, Mr Ankcorn, Miss Stevens and Mrs Boston
