WOAH, Year 1 are thoroughly enjoying their first text of the year. We are currently reading and exploring "Funny Bones" which is written by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. The children are concentrating really hard at ensuring they are sat correctly at the table and holding their pencil properly.
We would encourage you, when practising writing, to ensure your child is set at a table and holding their pencil properly.
Maths
In Maths, we have been sorting. We have been sorting a variety of objects by their shape, colour or amount in each group. Year 1 have tackled their first 'do it' in their books. We are SO proud of how hard they are trying with their presentation!
