There's No Such Thing As A....
This half term we have had lots of fun learning all about the Gruffalo.
In our Literacy learning, we have been using Talk 4 Write to retell the story using words and actions. We innovated the characters and wrote our own version of the Gruffalo.
In our Mathematics learning we have focused on talking about and identifying patterns around us. We worked super hard and created our own patterns in the classroom. We created patterns through paper weaving, pasta necklaces and lots of natural materials.
We have really enjoyed our PE lesson's this term. We have practised our balancing, travelling and climbing skills.
As a class we have spent time talking about what we might see outside during winter and natural things and habitats.
We have loved being artists in Nursery. we have developed our modelling, painting and drawing skills. We used clay to create our own Gruffalo, looking closely at the details from the story. We created our own T-shirts with our Gruffalo pictures on them.
At the end of our Gruffalo topic, we were super excited to meet the Gruffalo himself. We had the opportunity to ask him questions, tell him all about our learning and even have our photo taken with him.
