Incredible, Edible Earth!
This half term, we are learning all about our incredible Earth. We will be exploring the globe and using maps and atlases to explore the equator, lines of longitude, latitude, Tropic of Capricorn and Tropic of Cancer.
We will be looking at these books:
During our stunning start, the children worked in groups to create a pop up food van selling cuisine from a particular country around the world. They had a budget and had to work out what they could afford by researching ingredients. They also had price lists for advertising, plots and even a chef!
Trips to the Library
We have been enjoying our trips to the library this half term. 4ER had a parent visitor who told them all about their career and gave us some free toothpaste and mirrors! 4RA went on a library detectives hunt and found specific books in the library.
Mosque Visit
Year 4 had a fantastic trip to the Birmingham Central Mosque. We learnt lots of information about Islam through an educational guide who took us around the Mosque. The children were fascinated and learnt lots!
