Pupil Premium

We are here to support and meet the needs of every child and their families.  Pupil Premium is a grant from the government that provides additional funding to help children from lower income families, and children who have been looked after continuously for more than 6 months.

A service premium is also awarded to children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.

This additional funding is designed to address the social and emotional wellbeing of these children.  From September 2012, the government also decided that eligibility would be extended to pupils who have been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years.

At Crown Meadow, we are committed to providing opportunities for all children to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.  General examples of how we might target funding are; increasing phonics teaching resources, funding further speech and language provision, as well as interventions for children in order to eliminate under-performance in English and Maths.

We are proud of the range of strategies we employ and strive to meet the needs of all of our young learners.
