PSHE

Our PHSE curriculum is based on the Story Project. We believe in the power of storytelling to help children explore complex social, emotional, and ethical issues. By focusing on fictional characters in their lessons, children can safely navigate difficult topics, developing critical skills like empathy, resilience, and self-awareness in the process. This supports our school core values: respect, resilience, teamwork, independence and creativity.

Our lessons are designed to delve deep into topics like diversity, inclusion, and empathy, ensuring that all children feel represented and understood. Our story-based approach creates a safe, structured environment where children can explore important themes and develop a holistic sense of wellbeing and develops the qualities and attributes children need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society and the global community. Online safety is a core element of children's learning as you will see in the whole school breakdown.

Children at CMFS will also acquire an understanding and experiences of British Values that are necessary if they are to make sense of their experiences, value themselves, respect each other, appreciate differences and feel confident and informed as a British citizen. Every day after a half term is British Values Day - please do take a look at our 'year group pages' for more details.
