We will set spellings on a Friday. The children will have a week to practise these spellings as they will be tested the following Friday.
The children will write these spellings in a yellow book - this will allow them to share the score with you.
Please ensure your child's spelling book is kept in their book bag.

Please practise spelling the Year 1 common exception words. It would be beneficial to apply these into sentences ensuring the sentences have capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.
If there are words that are phonetically plausible in the sentences, please ensure the correct phoneme (sound) is selected.
